The Lama D’Antico Rock Park hosts one of the most evocative rock settlements in Apulia, which developed between the 10th and 14th centuries AD. Hidden among olive groves, it stretches along a small natural channel or "lama", characterized by the presence of several caves carved by man along the rocky sides, where time seems to have stopped, allowing you to grasp the different aspects of daily life in the Middle Ages: the dwellings, workshop caves, stables, all organized around the heart of the village represented by the rock church. The area of the Park also includes the enchanting rock churches of San Lorenzo and San Giovanni, with their splendid and vibrant pictorial decorations. The entire route takes place within a charming natural landscape animated by centuries-old olive groves and majestic carob trees, deeply immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. Come visit us at Via Anemone, 39 or contact us by email and we will tell you how to reach the Rock Park and the visiting hours.
